sorority comments

Before I rushed at UT I made the mistake of coming to this site and had my opinions altered by what I read. Than my common sense kicked in and I visited each sororities website. Each group at UT has Beautiful ladies. If you were an outsider looking at all the composite photos and were told pick the top six groups...you wouldnt be able to do it. Period. This is not a slam at the Big Six at all...great girls! Just the point that the difference between top to bottom is not as defined as people think.

A sophmore and I nevet would have thought the top 6 were top. Im not greek but it seems like tridelt, dg and adpi are top, at least in my major.

I think many people would disagree with your "top" but the houses you list are strong. "top" is such a loaded word because "top" grades might be true at one house, "top" looks at another, "top" connections at another....maybe the girls in your major are smart and pretty and in those houses, but depending what stick we are measuring against "top" will always be debated.

Top is really a petsonal opinion because all the groups are so good

Some stress sky high grades, some stress social life, some their charities, the balance is different at each house. Some recruit cheerleaders, some recruit dancers, some recruit girls in honors programs. Most houses mix with most frats and there are exceptions to every house/frat, but they are EXCEPTIONS. Day in and day out greek life at UT is peaceful and most greeks have friends in almost every house. This site makes it seem like we all live segregated little lives and that is not true. We support each other in our fundraisers and we wear our letters to show our individual spirit but the majority of us don't lose sight of our panhellenic goals.

As a guy, I can promise you that every sorority does not mix with every fraternity and if they do, the amount of money and emphasis placed on the big 6 mixers are much greater. Just being honest
