Most girls you are competing with have good activities because Texas simply draws the best of the high schools. TBARM has a great reputation, so that's good. Since you cheered, you are probably in good shape. You didn't mention your physical appearance and what kind of personality you have. Those things matter also! Best of luck - you sound humble and that's a plus as well!

If you don't have the connections for PKT, then it is honestly just going to depend on how you rush. How you look, if you know anyone, how poised/polished you are, etc. the houses you are the most comfortable in and feel, the most relaxed at will also be the ones you rush the best at. Hard to believe ahead of time but true! Go where you are comfortable. There are great girls in every chapter. I know it is hard to believe this until you go through, but you really will feel more comfortable at some then others and you will be able to tell what sororities you would fit in and enjoy.....probably several by the way. Relax and enjoy it.

agree. When you join a sorority at UT, just remember that there will be outstanding girls in all of the chapters. The 10% rule automatically screens girls somewhat. So many girls go through - do the math. The sororities are all seasoned and well established. Have fun!
