How hard is it for an out of state girl to get a bid?

There are some sororities that bid primarily girls they know from certain high schools, camps, church, etc. However, some sororities bid quite a few out of state girls. You must have letters of rec for the majority of sororities (try to get them for all).

Its much easier for a pnm who has friends who are actives--there's less guesswork on the sorority's side. that being said, if you get your recs in on time,and make a good impression during rush, you can certainly get a bid--there are out of state girls in every house. Also, coming from out of state, you probably dont have any bad relationships or burned bridges with any UT sorority women--sometimes being in-state can work as much against you as for you--definitely seen that happen

I have seen that happen as well. You can do it - do your homework, get every rec and support letter in asap, and look your best.
