transfer student/greek life
by: ahhh!
Hey I'm transferring from Arizona State where I was a Theta. I've got a few questions about UT Austin and what Greek life is like there...
(1) Is Theta at UT nice? What are the girls like? I'm not big on drama so I'm hoping it won't be too bad haha
(2) MORE IMPORTANTLY, I just moved onto campus, and I'm trying to meet people. Maybe going on Greek Rank wasn't the right choice haha, but are there any parties going on this weekend or before school starts? And could I just walk up to a frat and walk in if they're having a big enough party? I've just heard people in Austin and especially at UT are really friendly so I'm wondering if I could just go to a party and start meeting people.

Any frat with a quality group of guys will be friendly to just about anyone that didn't sneak into the party. Going to a party is a great way to meet people in the same lifestyle as you and everyone will be friendly. Greek life for the most part is just people trying to have a good time and there is not even close to as much hostility as this website would make you beleive.
