fraternity names

my sister goes here and she always calls SAE “rho” and KA “omicron”. she says lots of people do. why aren’t people just calling them their real names

SAE was kicked off campus and renamed themselves Texas Rho since they are no longer affiliated with SAE nationals. A similar thing happened with KA, but they are now back with the IFC and KA nationals so most people refer to them as KA rather than Omicron.

Wait. So if you pledge Rho, you’ll never really be an SAE? A high school buddy was rushed there and they constantly say they’re still SAE, just underground. And when you pledge them, you can go anyplace and be accepted as an SAE brother.
So none of that’s true?
