by: Freshmanwith the contract launch so soon i would like to know if Hardin house is mainly PKT girks or if there are a lot of girls in other sororities too. dont want to live somewhere where i’ll feel left out because i know im not gonna get in to a “top” house

If you are really worried about if you’re going to get a “top” house you can always do SRD instead. Not everyone there pledges so there’s less pressure for you to get a bid to a top house

i considered SRD, but i do not think a lot of girls there rush. i would rather be in an environment with a lot of girls who are going to rush. also, i could be getting the wrong impression but hardin just seems more fun in general

you would end up happy if you get into any of big six. Girls end up very close and sounds like everyone loves it. I have only talked to one girl who didn't like it and she was not a "typical" sorority girl at all and pretty bitter in general. If you are cute, social, and confident go for it!

how hard is it actually to get into a big 6? i dont really have solid connections but i know some girls in houses at an arms length. i would say i’m conversational and a sorority type. i’m curious if the difficulty of ut rush is overhyped or if it really is that hard

i think i’m just going to not live in red house. i’m pretty sure that the other houses aren’t as intense as red is. i’m the kind of person who wants to rush but i care about grades so i won’t go out every night, and i get the impression that the other houses aren’t as party focused. it just sucks because i dont want to make the wrong decision and end up somewhere i hate for a year
