Gphi—top or not

“All this bashing” is a few girls in one house. Trying to snuff out the competition. Go with your gut. If you let this site sway you, maybe you belong in a different house. Many of the girls in gphi preffed other top houses as well and picked Gphi. Most girls who make it to pref night are happy with where they end up. There are pretty, smart, fun and cool girls in every house here. Honestly. “Top” or not!

G phi is a top 5 house. Depending On who you ask where they rank in that 5 will vary, but they are a good sorority, they just are not the undisputed #1 house that I think they once were. That isn’t because there is something wrong with them, it is because there are so many quality girls in other houses. If you have the chance to pref with any of the top 5 you are lucky.

I’m sorry that you are going through this. Honestly, the first poster is right. “All this bashing” is being done strategically by their “competition”. I remember it last year, too. Don’t let it manipulate you. Certain sororities definitely hang out on here more than others. If you’re worried about tiers, I would say (and I think most people would say outside of this site) that GPhi and Kappa are 1 and 2 but the exact order will change depending on whom you ask. I think APhi sees GPhi as the easier of the 2 to knock off of the top b/c GPhi tends to prioritize personality over wealth or looks, so they aren’t as straight up “hot” as Kappa (or Aphi, honestly). And hotness definitely translates into popularity (or atleast notoriety) in the Greek system, unfortunately. I am not saying GPhi doesn’t have good-looking girls, they just usually aren’t IG model types. Anyway, I guess I would just try to shut down the noise from this site and go with your gut—-whether that be GPhi or not. Good luck.

Yeah, I’d consider GPhi a top 3 house (order is discretionary). All 3 of the top have different vibes so it’s hard to say which one is 1. Depends on your values. Idk

Wow! Thanks guys for the advice. I know it’s stupid to come on this site for feedback, but it’s been hard talking to my friends here about this. Most of them are rushing and I feel as if we are competing for spots. Also, there are those who didn’t get any top houses back so I don’t want to make them feel bad and then there are others who are so obsessed with what I would consider, the more superficial houses that make me think I’m crazy for loving the house I already do.

The way I’ve always thought of it is that GPhis were the homecoming queens in highschool, and Aphis were the prom queens. Does that make sense? Lol
