What does it mean for a sorority to have an A team and a B team?

The A. Team is the Face Team....the group out and about wearing letters and doing P.R. for the sorority.

The B. Team is the....not-so-hot bunch that you keep in the kitchen during parties and such.

I've literally never heard of this. Anyone can go to parties at any fraternity.
