Stop disrespecting a deceased kids family and friends

A student at Michigan died. It is an unimaginable tragedy for him and his family. Instead of spreading love, prayers, and trying to learn from this as a community people are choosing to use this to spread dumb conspiracy theories or advance their own frats social status.

Stop. That is a horrible and disrespectful thing to do. I am not in Greek life but I knew lucas and know his family.

Here are the facts you idiots are choosing to ignore because you would rather send death threats to kids.

Lucas was not in a fraternity, he was not rushing nor was he pledging a frat. His family has confirmed this multiple times. He had a few friends in delta chi, showed up there drunk, did not even drink at their house, went alone to a room in their common area to rest and get out of the cold, then wandered off and passed out. This was all caught on their cameras and shared with the police when they couldn’t get in contact with him and reported him missing. Most of those poor kids didn’t even know he was at the house. The family has confirmed all of this and is not pursuing any legal or academic action against them.

This is so sad. Even thought those boys didn’t see him I’m sure they all wish they were able to help him and that’s why they were the ones doing the most to help the police investigate.

Instead of praying for lucas, or his family, or his friends who are mourning as much as anyone, absolute low lives come on this app to spread vile rumors saying he was a pledge or that this was their fault.

The truth is this is on all of us. If we want to make Ann Arbor safer we need to encourage drinking less, always having a buddy system, paying more attention to everyone we see out on the street to make sure they are ok.

This is what Lucas’s family wants, this is what he would have wanted, and if you’re spreading lies or trying to make your frat look better by attacking other frats you are a horrible and disrespectful person.
