How many people do COB?

No, not at all, and this year will be especially restrictive for COB because Theta is coming back.

COB is not a second chance rush. Chapters can only offer bids outside of recruitment if they either don't match to Quota or if they fall below whatever panhellenic sets as Chapter Total Membership. So those bids are few and far between anyway, especially at the more in demand chapters.

In order to help KAT reestablish, Total will be set lower and the COB period may actually be delayed. Getting a COB where they dropped you will be hard unless you get to know members and they pull for you, and if they have any openings.

cob isn’t guaranteed. don’t depend on it

The only chapters that will be able to COB for the first month after primary recruitment will be Theta and DPhiE.

According to Panhel’s Primary Recruitment website:

* January 25, 2026 - Moratorium Begins

* Starting this day, most chapters cannot participate in continuous open bidding (COB).

* February 15, 2026 – Theta Bid Day!

* Moratorium ends. All chapters can continue to COB, should they wish to!

IF U WANT TO BE IN A SORORITY DO NOT DROP AND TRY FOR COB (at least accept whatever house you have on bid day and drop afterwards- it's never too late to drop but at least give it a chance)
