Philanthropy impressions

Haven’t finished all my rounds yet today but here are some standout moments so far.

Kappa: I don’t think they care about their philanthropy in the slightest. The great gatsby theme made it seem like a joke and the sisters I talked to at least did not mention or seem to want to talk about their charity. Super disappointing and a big turn off for me personally.
Axo: I expected more to be honest. Was not bad at all and maybe it was just the sister I got or the time of day but she didn’t seem very enthusiastic about their cause. Was for sure my top house after round one but I’m starting to get the feeling the top tier houses are very fake and I’m not sure that vibe is the right place for me.

KD: I know Im supposed to hate them but they had a solid first rush round and was even more impressed today. Every girl I’ve talked to has been energetic and sweet. Super enthusiastic about their philanthropy and talked about specific in the field work not just fundraising. Overall the girls are good conversationalists and the event was well organized and well put together. Has been a big under dog
Pi Phi: I hated and repeat HATED pi phi first round. It was awkward and uninspired and I was upset to see them on my schedule for today but they turned things around in philanthropy. By far hands down the best conversation I had today even considering the awkward 4 person breakout room. The girls very obviously cared deeply about their philanthropy were well educated and well spoken. Again they were able to speak about hands on work they’ve done. I heard their next rounds will be one on one and I really hope that is true. Having a genuine intellectual conversation was refreshing.

These were just a couple surprises from today. I still have two more houses left tonight so we will see how those go.
