i have a 2.6 gpa will it hurt me?
by: FroshI unfortunately did poorly this semester. My grades are not exactly indicative of my ability. I’ll defintely get it up next semester. My question is will fraternities care? If they will, will it hurt me significantly?

Yeah I know a lot of kids who have an extremely rough first semester. Maybe take a way lighter course load next semester. I don't think frats should care (I know a lot of guys in my frat that completely bombed 1 or 2 semesters.
Just keep in mind that pledging is going to take up a lot of time, especially if you pledge a higher tier frat. I took only 12 credits while pledging (all 100 or 200 level), so I could manage but I was always sleep deprived, nervous, anxious, and probably had mono. Just know that managing all of that with a hard schedule is going to be hard
