are there a lot of middle class people in sororities?
by: QuestionI heard that many of the sororities are incredibly exclusive and they will try their best to make sure they only get the richest of girls. Is there some truth to that?

some of the top houses care about wealth, most do not. its more of a plus, rather than a deal breaker. but as someone who is considered to be middle class, something to keep in mind is that it is sometimes hard to keep up with wealthier friends. like if they wanna go to spring break in Europe but you can't afford to go with or even just clothes and stuff, it can be kinda hard

Rumours like this exist only to spread fear and unnecessary concern. People can think what they want about the subject, in a good or a mean spirit, but it all boils to having no information on the subject. The only women who can legitimately answer this will not respond because each sorority has private individual membership requirements. When you become an initiated member of a sorority your group will inculcate you with their official conditions for membership.
It should be pointed out sorority homes are expensive to operate and maintain, as are a sorority's (inter)national headquarters. Dues may be high in a few groups, so they may intentionally look for pnms who can legitimately and more easily pay for any required fraternal services.
It serves neither the sorority nor the pnm to hand out bids to women without promising equipment. It will only break a pnms heart if she is mistakenly bid to a home that requires more of her than she can legitimately handle educationally and financially.
