recs — good or bad?

if i submit a recommendation to a chapter, will that make me stand out in a good way or a bad way? is it seen as being overeager or trying too hard?

The more recs you have the better your chances willbe.

recs will MAYBE help u through the first pref (if that even). At umich, recs and legacies don't really count unless ur siblings or friends r still in the chapter on campus, or some of the members know ur family that was in the chapter. it's all about networking in the top tiers. so many of them dirty rush it's crazy
