Transfer Students in Sororities
by: MexSororityGirlHi! I will most likely be transferring to American University this fall (go Eagles!) and am in Alpha Chi Omega at my current university. It looks like the alpha chi at AU is “higher ranked” than the chapter I was initiated into @ my old school. However, I definitely want to be a part of my sorority at American. Would they still accept/welcome me? Does American even let transfer “sisters” into their chapters? I am concerned that I wouldn’t have the best experience in AXO as a transfer...

It’s worth a shot. It’s an automatic group of women who have similar values to you. Maybe not exactly what you had in your other chapter but why not at least try? Worst case scenario they aren’t your people and you drop. Best case scenario, you have an automatic group of friends as a transfer..... not sure why you wouldn’t try
