the real deal
by: Smart PNM
Let's get real here. This is the difference between the "top" houses, "mid-tier" houses and the "bottom" houses.
1) Number of attractive girls: top will have about 4 very attractive girls, mid will have about 2-3 and bottom 0-1 in their pledge class.
2) Number of average to unattractive girls: the rest of the girls in whatever house, except that the average and unattractive girls will be slightly thinner and have better hair in the higher ranked houses.
For example, look up KKG Presents at the 575 Productions website. Most of those girls are very average or below average. Looks like top houses put their prettiest girls on insta.
3) Personalities: the top houses will have more self-absorbed narcissistic girls (look it up). That accounts for the "cool" factor. Not too cool, imho.
4) Intelligence and Wealth: same across the board. There are smart and wealthy girls in every house.
So, I'm just going to go for the house with the girls I like the most and have things in common. There'd probably be less cattiness on this board if everyone else had done the same.

Pretending to be me, the original poster, isn't going to take away the knowledge I gained and shared with my friends and other PNMs. They all have eyes, they all can surf the web and they all can draw their own conclusions.
Perhaps it's time to tear down the illusion the "top" houses have tried to build up. Maybe the person pretending to be Smart PNM is upset that she is on the fringe in her own house and doesn't like someone pointing that out to her. Perhaps she wants to believe she is just as good looking as her prettier sisters, because she did get accepted into [fill in your top house name here], didn't she? Well, my friend, maybe it's time to wake up and be honest with yourself.
Hopefully, my original post and the posts from "so-called mid-tier girl" and "in a top house" will arm this year's PNMs with knowledge so that they can make a well-educated choice, instead of one they will later regret. I know that I want to choose a house based on substance and not on false pretense.

Dear all that have commented on this post,
I want you to take a step back and consider this conversation. As a very active member of the Panhellenic comment, it saddens me to see such animosity and cattiness on here. I know recruitment is a stressful time and does have a sense of competition from both sides, but it is so much more than a competition. It is a chance to find your home away from home, filled with your best friends who become family. As a PNM 3 years ago, I chose not to look at sites like these or rankings or listen to the rumors, it is difficult, but definitely possible.
To any current members- bashing other sororities doesn't help anyone. We should be focusing on the positive aspects of the chapters and the greek system as a whole, because, believe it or not, it's pretty incredible.
To potential new members, as a member of the Panhellenic community, i could not be more excited that you are interested in joining a chapter. I encourage you to go in with an open mind and give each chapter a chance. Talk it through with your recruitment counselors and the panhellenic executive board members and go with your heart, regardless of what the rankings say.
For everyone, realize what a downward spiral these conversations become and how they don't get us anywhere positive. I love our school, I love our greek system, and I love our chapter... hope you can see just a little bit of that too.

Can you stop pretending to be me, please? If you're going to post comments using my handle, as least use proper punctuation.
