From the Greek Life webpage under Parents/Students Deferred Rush link:

"...first semester freshman student that accepts a bid or attempts to join a current USC affiliated Greek organization remains subject to potential sanction along with the same Greek organization in accordance with the procedures outlined in SCampus"
