Regret accepting my bid
by: BSo I did formal recruitment and my preference houses were two “bottom” sororities, one of which I liked more and ranked first. I ended up getting a bid to the one I ranked second and now I can’t help but feel really disappointed that my top pick didn’t want me. I went to bid day but honestly just don’t feel good about accepting the bid, is there anything I can still do? Can I still try and COB another sorority?

Unfortunately you can’t, you can drop before initiation and wait a year to go through recruitment again. But my best advice to you, is that this is the such a normal feeling. I’ve personally been in that exact position a year ago. But if you don’t give your girls a chance or never try, you might regret it. This house chose you because they loved you, you were probably somebody’s rush crush. When I first joined I was so lost and unsure and hurt that I didn’t get my top house, but looking back I’m glad I didn’t give up, because I found my people who have pushed me to grow into who I am today and that loved me unconditionally every step of the way. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them and I’m happy I trusted my gut back then. Just give your chapter a chance to change your mind and if you’re still feeling that way before initiation or paying dues, drop. Best luck to you babe❤️
