GPA COB or Sophomore Year Rush

I had a bad first semester and have less than a 2.8 GPA. Will any houses take me as a COB and what are my chances for rush sophomore year?

I’d say if you have a good friend in the house that might help for COB. But I think you should try COB and if you don’t like it work hard on your grades and then rush with a better GPA in the fall!

None of the top houses will take you lower houses like AXO might

AXO is one of the top Greek chapters for grades. They are very selective in their pnm's for gpa.

Sorority chapters' GPAs range above a 3.5. If you are gorgeous and vivacious and have friends in sororities who love you and are influential enough in their chapters or have some other outstanding quality then your chances are better. Or maybe your major/schedule is tough and a 3.1 is not so bad and other sorority members in the know can speak to that in membership selection. I always think it's better to try than not, while being prepared for the worst, rather than to make decisions about yourself on behalf of others, because you never know. You would always wonder if you didn't at least try.
