gpa requirements for rush

I'm a sophomore this year trying to rush and I'm wondering about gpa requirements for fraternities. Specifically, how do fraternities know your gpa, or do they find out only after they give you a bid and you accept, and if so what's the minimum? I did pretty good first semester, around 3.3 but second semester I overloaded and was dealing with some personal problems and my gpa sunk

I don't think frats cut people based on GPA. I could be wrong tho..

what if youre in high school right now and you have a low GPA for high school but want to rush next year, will whatever sorority/frat you are interested in ever know your GPA ?

No one cares about your high school GPA. There is a minimum GPA for your first semester to initiate, but that minimum is not that high.

It won't affect you if you are a guy, I think the technical requirement is 2.5 to initiate

During your pledgeship you'll sign a document allowing the fraternity to check your grades. I can only speak on behalf of my house but our minimum GPA is 2.5 to initiate or hold a position and 2.25 to remain a member
