Is rushing again as a sophomore worth it?
by: hopefull sophmoreI rushed this fall as a freshman and I thought I was pretty outgoing and genuine but after open house I only got 1 house back and it was bottom tier. It made me really upset and I dropped and I'm considering rushing again. I really want to find a house of girls that I can have lifelong friendships with/travel buddies. Any tips for rushing again and/or house recommendations? Also, I don't really care about top house but I want to be in a respected house, so like mid to upper tier. I just know that if I were in a lower tier house I wouldn't be happy and I would do is compare myself to the mid to upper tier houses.

Yeah, try again, make sure your fit is on point, your nails look nice, your makeup is done, etc. Pretty sure I got into a bottom house bc I was running late and didn’t do my makeup or put any effort into my appearance both days of open house. I still got invited back by 5 chapters but I just wasn’t sure what I was doing. I like my house a lot and I think it’s great but it hurts when people make fun of it. Lowkey I wish I didn’t get initiated so I could try again and get into a more respected house. If you end up with bottom houses again I wouldn’t worry so much. Try informal or just join whoever invited you back. You’ll still get a sorority experience.

Phi Mu doesn’t ask everyone back, they do ask a lot tho. Definitely more selective than AEPhi

I don't think it's rude, both days I mixed up the times so I either didn't have cute hair or didn't have makeup on so that may have been a factor. They also didn't have my size shirt so I was wearing one that was a size up and was very unflattering. I had pretty good conversation all the houses though (was into it and excited and not weird). I like to think that I'm decently pretty/average. I was involved in high school and had a good GPA. How do you get black balled from all the houses.

Basically if someone REALLY hates you in the Greek system or you have an unfavorable reputation on campus.

I did informal and got asked back to 5 houses but none of them gave me a bid at the end of it. I have an idea of what houses I'd join and not join, I'd just rather not say, I don't want to offend anyone.

Ok but this year informal was the easiest time to get a bid. Everyone wanted to improve their numbers. You went to 5 and not even one gave you a bid during /informal/......I don't know what to say here.....

This post seems like it was made by someone in phi mu to trick pnms into thinking they don’t ask everyone back. Like why is this the first time I’ve ever heard them being selective since they’ve been getting hate for it for years? Just seems a bit suspicious if you ask me...

Maybe suspicious but I think OP is legit, phi mu definitely isn’t selective but I think that they might be trying to be. Maybe that’s why their pc was small?

Lately Phi Mu has been trying to bring other bottom houses down to bring themselves up, its sad but true. I’m not gonna name drop who they’ve been attacking because that only contributes to the issue

I’m always skeptical of people accusing houses of attacking others, because you can claim that basically anybody is doing anything on an anonymous website. That being said, if it really is phi mu, ouch for them.

Before any of that happened, someone negative spammed phi mu to the very bottom of the entire page, not just the 19. I don’t think the recent positive spam is phi mu either, because that would be really stupid to do. I’ve seen the systematic attack of so many houses on this website, from AEPhi to APhi. I don’t believe any of it. On an anonymous website, anyone can do anything. It’d be easy to manipulate everything to match whatever claim someone wants to make about this. I’ve been saying this for forever, and I know I’m gonna get hate for it. But that’s the bottom line. Every house has its problems, sure, but the real problem occurs when people feel the need to incriminate others. If you legitimately think phi mu is behind this, fine, I can’t change that. Just look at the evidence, decide for yourself if it’s legit. Don’t hope on a bandwagon of people just saying things for the sake of saying things. That goes for any house that’s been made a scapegoat. Not just phi mu

Phi mu’s so triggered that they’re going on rants and deleting comments from this post. I get this site has a tendency to make bad guys out of certain houses, but you have to admit this post was def a phi mu one.
