Do Sorority ranks matter?

I think sorority rankings are pretty much irrelevant, unlike frat rankings. Any cute fun girl can go to any open party or invitation-only dance, every guy at the bars will pay attention to you, and you will have events with decent fraternities (because of the 2/1 frat/soror ratio) where the guys are more genuine and not trying to hook up with you and brag to their friends.
Not putting down the houses that people consider prestigious, they are good too. But for girls it really does not matter that much. Just find a group that makes you feel comfortable and take the plunge.
We are not some BS southern school where your Greek status will haunt you for life. Actually status is irrelevant after sophomore year and for the rest of your life, we all get along anyway.

the ranks really just determine who youre going to have social with. top frats have block and exchanges with top srats. unless u know people from hs or something, u prob wont get asked to a date event by someone in a top house unless ur also in a top house. top houses also usually have more bar pull. ur right, they dont mean anything after college or really after freshman year, but they do impact who youll hang out with during college!
