I want to shout from the mountain tops to everybody, not just you, to give it time. Bid day is honestly a let down bc it's hyped up so so much and then it's kinda weird. That's how it was for me when I joined a house and now I am a senior and LOVE it. Me and a couple other girls joke about how awk bid day was and how we were unsure. Give it a few weeks, months, basically whenever until initiation. You can't do informal this year anyways so might as well give it time.

Also, nobody SHOULD judge you for wearing their letters, and living in a brand new house would be cool! Just try to make friends in it, there are weirdos in dz and pretty girls in dz and cool girls and smart ones and weird ones and ones that drink a lot and ones that don't JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER HOUSE!

stick with it. I have met a few DZ's and they are quality girls, nice, sweet, super smart, and cute. You can contribute to the rise of this house and ride the wave that will for sure happen as they move to their new house.

Im in the same boat as you. Bid day was awkward. I am waiting until beginning of November (initiation) to decide if I want to stay. Met some amazing girls so far though!!

Hey!!! i’m a 22 at DZ and i totally am with you I felt awkward at bid day and I talked to a girl and she told me it’s totally normal. After talking to the girls, i absolutely love it. And it’s true that DZ is getting better, they had a big set back a few years ago that affected recruitment. Please stick with it, i did too and i’m super proud to be a DZ. and the house is supposed to be amazing.
