another transfer question here.. do sorority girls at Illinois live in the sorority house? and for how many years?

depends on the sorority. some sorority have a required number of live in years, some don't require you to live in at all. off the top of my head, i remember phi sigma sigma and maybe alpha xi delta (?) didn't have a live in time. they'll give you a sheet that says whether or not they require live in during the first invite though.
