how to approach fraternity rush

I just transferred here after doing my first year of college at a community college. Im interested in joining a fraternity but i dont know anyone in a house here. Im living in an apartment this year with people who arent interested in greek life so i cant really ask them for how to approach rush. I was wondering how can i find out about events houses are having and is it hard to get into houses if you dont know anyone?
