transfer competitiveness

by: Yet another transfer

How competetive would it be for me to be bided as a junior transfer. I'd really like to make some close knit friends so I don't feel alone!

During formal rush, all houses have a quota to meet. They must all have a certain number of frosh/soph/juniors, though it would be more difficult to get into a "higher house."

If you're transferring from ISU, don't bother.

I assume you are asking about sororities.

If you have not already done so please go online to the Illini Greek Life Panhellenic Council pages NOW for your recruitment information.

Make a point of going thru formal recruitment, as you will get to tour ALL the homes during first parties.

Go into formal recruitment with an open mind, meaning be open to any and all invitations you will receive.

The women you are meeting and the org you want to join are practiced in the art of knowing the types of persons their chapter requires to enhance their sisterhood. You may fit their bill!

It truly bears saying although you may hear it often: Be Yourself and you won't go wrong during recruitment.

And just so you understand: some groups will not bid juniors and those with low gpas (its private information which ones).

I hope your recruitment brings a bid from a house you can truly call home.
