of course they're moving up fast they just came into existence there's no way they could've possibly gone down from literally not existing. calm down. wait until recruitment.

you're right, they cannot go down...but give them credit for getting more new members than most of us expected.

Hate to burst your/PM's bubble about them doing "so well" during recruitment for getting 120 girls... phi Sig got 180 when they colonized in 2013. And that was when quota was lower, so they actually had around the same amount of members as other houses. I'm not lying, this info is on the grade reports.

Phi Sig did a nice job recolonizing and have done well for only being here a few years.

If Phi Mu got 120 (maybe not like 150 as I said, I don't have the inside scoop) that is still very good. Sororities are too big, I think they should add about 5-10 more and have a cap on membership, maybe 150. I think PM will rise pretty quickly, they are the big story on campus right now.

Either way, more good houses is a plus for us guys and gives you girls more choices.

that isn't how it works. Sororities adjust membership at U of I each year based on how many girls rush, to include as many people as possible. Sorry if you think other sororities are "too big" but if sororities continually don't meet quota, they get kicked off. So I doubt PM will put a "membership cap" on. Do you even go here?

Why the hostility? I am not saying specific house should voluntarily drop below quota under the current system. I am saying it would be nice if there were more houses, each with fewer girls. That way there would be more variety, and with fewer girls in each house, the sisterhood would be closer. I'm saying systemwide, we should have more houses, each with fewer girls, and then the same number of girls can join. Dang, just an idea to improve sisterhood. No need to chew my head off....

Those sororities do exist, there called local sororities look em up and if you can't handle mild annoyance over your ignorant thoughts than why are you on a website called Greek rank?!

I know more about the houses on campus and their histories than you do. That is, unless you have actually spent time researching the Greek history here. I am not talking about special interest sororities, I am saying it is not a stretch to bring back Phi Beta Chi, DPhiE, Tri Sigs, Zetas, ASA, and maybe a couple of other national sororities that have been here in the past.

We ARE bringing more sororities. We opened up for expansion and phi sig and phi mu were first on the list so maybe I do know some "history". ZTA said no. Also in 2019 sigma kappa (should be) coming back. But why not have a bunch of sororities all with a lot of girls and strong sisterhoods? There's clearly the demand with the success of phi mu, phi sig, even axid. Why would we ever want a smaller greek life? You have GOT to be a geed because you think greek life should be this inclusive thing but it's not. When sk left last year, everyone in my chapter felt for those girls. We'd love more chapters and more girls.

why not just have 2 tiers, if youre gonna put houses that are way better than others in the same tier.

How they are ranked in their tiers comment is wrong...there is no debate that Theta is better than KKG, for example.

Why not then just have one tier. Why the need to rank all the time, why not join where you feel comfortable and just enjoy your college days. And not worry about who is "better" because every house has positives and negatives.
