rushing as junior transfer
by: SrafIm transferring to UIUC In the fall and I've heard a lot of rumors that state schools tend to not give out bids to junior girls because of the quotas they have to meet. So I'm asking if it's even worth it to rush?? I heard only middle tier or bottom tier sororities give out bids to upperclassmen.
#1by: best of luck to you!
Please consider going thru Fall recruitment if you have great grades and a high purpose in joining. Sororities look for well-rounded women from all collegiate levels including juniors. Consider perusing greek life websites than greekrank (fsaffairs.illinios.edu; sororitylife.com; greekchat.com; NPCwomen.org) for deeper and more meaningful recruitment information you will need to succeed this Fall.
#2by: tiers
It is ALWAYS a good idea to rush. You won't be bid unless you do. If you are into tiers, sad. Go thru rush, don't listen to or spread rumors, and be yourself! See how many invites you receive, because it only takes ONE BID for you to belong. If it's a bid from a group you hate/too low a tier, don't join. That gives a chance to belong to another young woman whose personal tier system does not mirror yours.
