by: She doesn't even go hereThis is definitely a long shot question but does anyone know what the fraternity tiers looked like back in the 80s? Thanks in advance

ATO, Sigs, Beta, Pikes and DChi were probably Top Five. Girls loved Pikes and Dchi the most. I was in none of these houses, just calling it like I see it. ATO had varsity athletes/Chief Illiwek/leaders, Sigs were just all around good, Beta was maybe more low key version of ATO (dont mean that in either a positive or negative way).
Houses were divided into Blue (larger houses, rough cutoff being 50 guys), and Orange (smaller houses). Fraternities had fewer members (more than 80 was considered very large), but had a much higher percentage living in-house. This was possible because of open-air dorms where a lot of the guys slept in bunk beds.

From talking to alums, It sounds like in terms of overall standing (girls, campus leaders, athletes, other frats' respect) ATO and Beta maintained some separation from the rest of the field. Really sad now to see both houses have hit harder times, but Taus seem to be really getting back into the swing of things and Beta has done an incredible job in only being back on campus a few years.
