get rid of block

Can we be honest here? BLOCK SUCKS. It's too early in the morning because of the football schedule. It's SUPER expensive and turnout is low - no matter who you block with. A lot of our pledges can't go and seniors are no-shows. If it wasn't such a tradition and so high on the prestige meter, we'd stop doing it. Every year we talk about dropping it and using our money for something more fun, but then we decide dropping it would hurt our rep.

Completely agree, giant tailgates at other big 10 schools look like way more fun!

Everyone should tailgate, and I am not talking about that lame thing where everyone wears the same tshirt and pretends to have fun in that fenced in area in Grange Grove. I mean legit tailgates.

And theoretically, "block" should go back to what it used to be - people actually buy blocks of tickets and go to the game. Maybe that will be more likely if/when Lovie builds the team back up to at least .500 level.

Not sure what you're talking about, it's so worth it to hang out on a Saturday morning on a freezing cold sour mopped bar patio with a bunch that just fake wants to be there.
