how often do people not get bids?
by: summerive always wanted to be in a sorority, like my whole life, and i only got invited back to 5 for the first invitational. idk how many that'll be for the second one, but i can't help but fear i won't even get a bid. i love all the sororities i was invited back to. i don't care about who's on what tier. but it would literally cause me so much pain if after everything i went through for rush i got absolutely nothing in the end just cause no one wanted me. help??

I don't know specific numbers or percentages on girls who don't get bids but just be yourself and keep moving forward with the process. Like you said there were still 5 houses who wanted to meet you again and it's even better that you're open minded about them so far . so focus on that and show them how great you are and I'm sure you'll find the one you truly belong in :)

Agreed with the first note above: those were five houses that want to spend more time getting to know you! It's funny, some girls get a tone of cuts right away, and then few or none after that. Some do great, and then suddenly get huge cut a lot closer to the end. So don't read too much into this!
You could even go to the Panhel office this week, before the next round, and talk with someone there about how to increase your chances of getting a bid next weekend.
Lot of girls will end up dropping out, and rushing as sophomores, so especially if you are a freshman, this isn't even your last chance. good luck!
