How much should I prepare to spend my first year in a sorority? This would include things like the initiation fee and dues. Thank you!

The Panhellenic council website has some info on this, but for numbers specific to each sorority you will get a sheet with that info at first invite

I hate that no one ever wanted to give real answers for this. Even when I went through rush, this was like some big secret. You're going to need about 1,000 your first semester. Dues are about 500ish at every house. Some are a little more, some a little less. Then you'll need about another couple hundred bucks for new member fees and initiation fees. After that, you're really only paying for dues and any extra things you want like clothes. Some houses are VERY expensive though. SDT was about 1,700 that first semester. unless I remember that wrong. And I think I remember GPhi being very cheap like 800.

ok im in one of the most affordable sororities but i also pay my own dues, etc. and i buy t-shirts like 24/7. i don't have an amazing job or am loaded but it is do able 100%
