THESE ARE THE REAL RANKS
Top: IT
Middle: DOESN’T
Bottom: MATTER

and before you say it, no - this is actually not coming from someone in a “bottom” tier house. Stop categorizing groups of people.
Stop placing your self-worth and other’s self worth in terms of what sorority/fraternity they belong to. It’s toxic, it’s immature, it’s a waste of time.

Many of you who are in ‘top’ houses today were the “weird” kids in high school, the ones who were picked on and went onto college trying to start a new life. Remember that before you put others down.

Many others “faked it ‘till they made it” in recruitment just to be part of a sorority/fraternity that wasn’t ‘embarrassing’ or ‘lame’ to be in.

‘Middle’ and ‘bottom’ houses will do the same thing, out of insecurity and stereotyping.

Recruitment is emotionally damaging and devastating to many because that is the environment that was created due to these aggressive rankings and stereotypes. YOU GUYS CREATED THIS.

Stop tearing each other down, because no one cares what ‘tier’ you were in when you’re out in the real world.

If you were truly happy with your sisterhood/brotherhood, you wouldn’t take the time to put down others. You wouldn’t be threatened or offended by the presence of other chapters on campus.

If you took away the letters on your sweatshirt, what do you have then?

Life is too short to care about this stuff. Every house is great. Spread love.

This is so true. I went to a HS where we probably have 30-40 a year who come to State College. It has been interesting to see which houses these guys and girls have ended up in. Kids on our Prom Court are in middle houses. One girl who was seriously unpopular is in a top house. Another girl who was super popular is in a bottom house. Kinda of makes me see how superficial the recruitment process is because these are kids I knew since I was born and could tell who was cool and who wasn't. Seems to be way off where they ended up in Greek life. I guess recruitment doesn't put the "coolest" kids in the "top" houses as some might like to hope.
