It's really too late to do anything about it now. But, if you didn't get a bid last year hopefully you joined a bunch of clubs/orgs and met new people since last Jan. If you did, knowing members in each chapter should help you. If not, your odds are pretty slim for most chapters. Be realistic and take any offers that you get. Being in chapters you might have snubbed last year are better than not being Greek at all.

this is absolutely false you will be fine lol the only reason there’s a rumor that chapters take less sophomores is because out of freshman and sophomores, there are less sophomores so there’s a misconception that chapters only take a limited number of sophomores when that’s simply not true no stress and have fun rushing :)

That's not true. I have been on the membership team and given a choice between a freshman and sophomore who are equally ranked, we will take a freshman simply because they have a longer time to contribute to the chapter.
