@“ranks do not matter” comment
by: john wickI get what you’re saying, it’s just that I feel like I’m missing out on stuff by joining in a bottom tier. Tons of guys compete to get into the best frats and they go through harder hazing. There’s no reason for that? I feel like that’s because the top tiers have more to offer (more connections, better parties, better looking girls, better reputation, etc etc etc). My comment obviously comes off as pathetic but I don’t care I’m being honest and that’s just how I truly feel. The way I’ve seen Greek life at Penn State is higher tiers have cooler guys and hotter girls. Maybe I’m wrong, but if I wasn’t I don’t get why guys rushing are willing to subject themselves to so much more. It must be to have a better college and frat experience.

I agree honestly. Tiers do and don’t matter. They do because they help you find ur place, if ur a good looking guy and/or just “cool” ur gonna be in a top tier w guys like that. If ur not as good looking or “cool” then ur place will be a lower mid or lower tier. It’s just how it goes. Not that some tiers are better than others, it’s just the kind of people you vibe w. Same goes for sororitys.

No offense but this is what freshman think but I can tell you their a hot and NOT hot in all the tiers and if you are hanging out with your best friends who you have so much fun and live in a big frat house. I’ve been to a lot of the houses (now a senior) and they really are all a good time.
