why did almost every sorority drop me?

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE where I ended up, but I just want some perspectives because I don’t understand. I looked great during open houses and a lot of girls complimented me. I also had great conversations with at least eight different sororities, but only three kept me. After first rounds, I was dropped by two of them, both of whom I know I had good conversations with, so I really don’t understand what happened. None of my friends understand what happened either, and the girls I often was paired with were both shocked too.

What is your GPA? When it comes down to cutting women that are nice, but don't really stand out, GPA is used as the deciding factor. Lots of pnms have the minimum to register but aren't high enough when chapters are using this as a criteria to separate the masses.

Well, that wasn't the reason. As "an insider" said below, it really is a numbers game. Don't take it personally. Just enjoy the house where you ended up. When you are on the other side next year, you will see how crazy it gets and how so many great girls fall through the cracks.

We're trained to have good conversations with pnms. We can carry on conversations with everyone but a brick wall. Also, just because we like you as a person or like talking with you doesn't mean that we think you're a great fit with our house. We might have in our minds where you'd be a better fit, but we obviously can't say that out loud.
