The chapters that get the best returns are good at rushing. Their job is to make every single pnm want to come back. They will say stuff, exactly as you describe, because they want you to feel appreciated and wanted. They practice conversation skills and how to make pnms really like them. It is not done to be mislead intentionally. But it is done for their own benefit. Their goal is to get great returns because it makes their house seem more exclusive. If you leave feeling that way and everyone else on your hall feels the same way, you will all be talking about how much you liked that chapter. Once you hear that everyone on your hall likes XYZ chapter, it makes you want them even more.
