uppermid- tier reputations

Not trying to be mean. But, don't start thinking you are "probably going to end up in upper mid". Recruitment is competitive. You may have been Queen Bee of your HS but so was everyone else going through this process.
Every pnm had the qualifications to get into Penn State--which is not easy. The Admissions Dept already weeded out those that you "were above" in HS. The vast majority of pnms have good grades, were athletes, class officers, prom queens, NHS etc. Your stats are exactly like everyone elses. Don't think you are something special. Realize that pnms don't really have much choice in this process until Pref round. You should be honored to get invitations back from any house that you get.
If you get the tiers out of your head. You will find that you can be happy in just about every chapter on campus. If you focus on tiers you will likely be disappointed and end up a GEED.

What you don't understand is that with ASA and AXO both gone now, chapters like DG and DZ will be getting girls this year that would have traditionally been "Upper Mid". Both of these chapters will be filling the places left by the chapters we lost. Tri Sig will be coming in and taking Phi Mus place trying to earn their way up from bottom. So, yes, GPhi, ZTA, AXiD, DG and DZ are your new upper mid.
