anyone have experience being in a "bottom tier" frat?

I wasn't in a bottom per say but I was in a middle/lower that is now upper. Back when I was a freshman I loved my brothers and had a great time, though the stigma that was associated with my letters sort of bothered me. Now that we're upper tier we attract more guys that are there for the parties as opposed to the brotherhood. Our brotherhood sucks now and honestly sometimes I wish we would have stayed low. As cliche as it sounds its true. You need to go where you fit in, because your experience will be 10x better. When you pledge for the parties you get two years of frat parties and then its over. Pledging for the brothers has benefits for life.
