100% agree with this post. We have "top tier' houses over and they spend all their time taking selfies. Rather hang with ladies who care less about themselves.

The tier system here is the most whack of any college I know! I have friends in sororities or who are rushing at various schools, both in and out of state, and they've all described their tier systems as referring to the quality of members. Things like how personality or character, involvements, academics, sports, etc. Here, it's like your tier only means what frats you affiliate with. So, you're basically letting GUYS define who you are, which seems totally opposed to the whole concept of empowerment and sisterhood sororities were founded for! That's why I actually prefer the supposed low or bottoms here. The girls seem more self-confident and independent, and don't really care what others think. They just do their own thing, are there for one another, and don't feel the need to tie their self-worth to whatever house or guy they happen to associate with. In short, the bottoms seem more real and like what sororities are supposed to be.
