should i honesty rush a bottom tier?

Rush a bunch of different chapters and see where you fit. Those that are considered "bottom tier" still have a great time and offer all the benefits of those considered "top". The difference is sometimes the size of the chapter and bigger doesn't always mean better. Also, the bottom tier frats typically social with clubs, women's sports teams, service sororities, dance troupes etc. They are still women even if they aren't wearing letters! There is a fit for everyone who wants the Greek experience.

Rush whatever organization makes you feel you can be yourself. Rush wherever you want! If you're hung up on high schoolish goals of hanging with the perceived cool crowd, and see socials being a major priority in your college life, then, honestly, a supposed "low-tier" is not going to be a fit for you. If you're interested in finding a community of friends with diverse interests and enjoy socializing but your college life doesn't revolve around partying, then, you'll probably be more ccomfortable in a lower tier or another service or professional society. My advice: Just go in with an open mind, be yourself, and decide for yourself what's right for you!
