it's time to end greek life at psu
by: VisionaryAs a new semester rolls around we see another senseless death brought about by the reckless and haphazard ways in which fraternities and sororities consume alcohol. The majority of people can not imagine the pain and suffering that this family is going through, and these kind of situations need to end. I hope the IFC takes a good hard look at this post and considers the following: by shutting down the fraternity responsible you will have plugged but one leak in the ever growing sinking ship that is PSU greek life. As a fraternity member myself I would gladly hand in my letters to ensure that no one else dies a cruel and senseless death. Rest in peace to Tim, and stay strong Piazza family.

It was a freak accident..fraternities arent the only people that consume alcohol.. it was a freak accident and poor judgement by Beta.. if anything the IFC should look at this and realize that if they dont penalize frats from calling the cops to literally SAVE LIVES.. then we'll see a change in the SAFETY culture at this school

1)IFC doesn't comb greekrank, they will not take your opinion into consideration, sorry bud.
2)Every college in America has binge drinking. Blame and get rid of fraternities and Penn state student will instantly find another source to wildly consume alcohol, whether it be far more apartment parties or more and more kids getting fakes or being legal and going to bars..

Frats should shut down, what do they encourage besides heavy consumption of alcohol? I mean yeah they have philanthropy but the main focus is just drinking and partying. In my opinion the only sorority that should be active still are the girls of KKG. Only ones who have any sort of moral compass

This morning on "Good Morning America" Kordel Davis, a former Beta Theta Pi at Penn State, was interviewed regarding the death of Piazza. He spoke about realizing that Timothy was not just "drunk" but unconscious, needing medical help immediately; he spoke up but was ignored. He spoke of brothers worrying more about themselves and the chapter rather than one pledge's life. It was a very sad and sobering interview.
