Relevant frats at elon
by: Relevant fratsThe only relevant fraternities at Elon are KA, Sig Chi, Kap Sig, Lambda, and OPK. All the other organizations are not considered ‘real’ brotherhoods. Change my mind.

KA and Sigma Chi yes but NO to the other groups u mention - they are not fraternities (basically unofficial social clubs more similar to club baseball). National Fraternities, Alumni and Elon do not recognize these social cohorts. KS Alumni already planing a chapter re-start from what I hear.

You guys don't value or know brotherhood. You're a little club sport. It's a hobby. Plenty of Greeks in Club Sports, but we know what it is.
Greeks have each other's backs even if it's in a grey area legally.
Crack your jokes loud enough at one of our events. You will get tossed.

John, what do you know of brotherhood ? Something tells me you are new to an off campus party house thus have no idea. Do you work to better your community through a philanthropy? Do you honor a Charter that was respected by BROTHERS before you for decades in some cases 40 years ? Do you learn from and appreciate a faculty advisor ? Do you support and have a relationship with Elon ? Do you abide by a code past down by BROTHERS before you ? Do u have a ritual ? Is pledging under control? Do u have an alumni organization helping you and proving networking opportunities? OR, do you simply party (and study hall at times) in a temporary house with a short term self entitled outlook with friends who share your view on the world ?

It takes real brotherhood to know you have to shed all the chains and conditions of the university system of Greek life. Sometimes you are better without them and have to make that call. Men make those calls.
Bros before hos. The hos are you, Elon.
And past Bros know we are in the right. We don't need some old biased Elon faculty trying to sheperd us for our 4 years. They are not here for our growth. They are here for their cut and using us for their branding.

KA and Sigma Chi are headed off-campus next year.
Elon was trying to ban one fraternity each year to try to send a message. Frats don't play that nonsense. Lambda got targeted and Kappa Sig left the game to blow a hole in this unwritten policy. Kappa Sig has a long history at Elon and a lot of influential alumni are pissed.
The university does not know what to do. They were not planning to ruin and remove all male Greek life. They thought they were playing chess, but all they know is checkers.

KS rechartering already in process. Agree with alumni influence ... see the rebirth of KS soon following SigEp and SigPi. KA and Sigma Chi are going no where (they are not idiots and play it smart ) Pi Kap (old /new) and Lamdba don’t have the history at Elon as the aforementioned..

If you think alumni are powerful at this school you’re an idiot and don’t know Elon. 80% of donations are current student parents. Go read the fact book. Our most notable alum is an umpire in the MLB. This school was a joke 25 years ago. Parents with multiple kids here and old money run the school

The university is not stupid enough to just take the new money. They are trying to grow. If they ostracize Greeks, they will cause sorority life to stagnate too which is where most of the money is.
We know Elon is about the money. Just look how they treated that Schar kid. Look at the Brian Williams Studio. They are not hiding they are for sale.
