Panhellenic Fall 2025 Academics: Let’s Talk Reality

Why do we tear each other down when the difference is barely there?
According to the only data we actually have, Panhellenic posted a 3.62 term GPA across 6,411 members. Most chapters are sitting between 3.59 and 3.64. That’s not a gap. That’s noise.

Yes, Chi Omega and Delta Delta Delta topped the list at 3.70, and new members came in strong across the board. But let’s be honest, we’re arguing over hundredths of a point, not failures.

And here’s the part people love to skip: the fraternity and sorority community GPA is higher than the All University Average, and it has exceeded that average every single semester since Spring 2017. While people drag Greek life, it’s outperforming organizations all over UTK.

So maybe the real question isn’t who’s “on top.” It’s why we’re so quick to tear down a community that is clearly doing well.

Academics aren’t the problem. The narrative is.
