of these comments are about right for what I saw during recruitment. And, guess what? I got in a bottom tier house and couldn't be happier :)! I didn't need to be in KD, DZ, or PhiMu to be happy!!!

PhiMu, DZ, KD...PhiMu, DZ, KD...that's all I heard during rush. Everybody I talked to wanted one of those houses. They are all very pretty and peppy...they remind me of high school cheerleaders. With that being said, they were super sweet and welcoming. They weren't my top choice...no offense to them. I am kind of quiet, and I couldn't see myself fitting in. With that being said, I found the perfect house for me :)! Isn't that what being Greek is all about? Not who's better than everybody else and cutting houses down that may be more popular than yours?

Just because those houses were the most talked about does not mean they got the best pledge class. All the top tier sororities compete for the same girls, and coming from one of those sororities I can tell you we did not lose any girls that we wanted to DZ!

really don't care what you say. From what I saw the nicest/prettiest girls I met during recruitment went PhiMu, DZ, and KD. What makes you think you're top tier any way? If you're TriDelt or ADPI NONE of the nice girls liked you and many dropped you...probably because you all were so dang rude...not top tier in many eyes except your own. And seriously, KD, PhiMu, and KD were the most popular from what I saw. I am just giving a PNM's perspective. Did you ever think that many girls dropped you to join KD, PhiMu, and DZ...don't flatter yourself. I didn't get a bid from any of them, and I will be honest to say KD and DZ were my top two choices. So be it. Am I bitter...NO! I ended up where I needed to be. I think some of the old "top" tier has been dethroned. From my perspective my "middle"tier pledge class has ADPI and TriDelt beat hands down!!!

It's actually comical to read these comments. There is obviously one very bitter and jealous DZ that is completely controlling this site.

^^^, I'd say a very bitter and jealous ADPI or TriDelt. I think they're the only ones who actually care. You might want to reevaluate your rudeness so all the PNMS don't talk about you. It's typical for you to point fingers at a DZ when in actuality the same comments would come from anybody who went through recruitment. Nobody is jealous...trust me.

got any "better" pledge class than anybody else. Who's to say who is better? One poster said all the "top" tier houses competed for the same girls. What makes someone better than anyone else might I ask? A rec. letter that may or may not even be true? Grades...that's hard to measure coming from so many different high schools? Looks? That's a little shallow. I know some houses are interested in Daddy's paycheck and occupation...like that matters. You actually believe you know who's "better" in a week...that's laughable. Some "top" tier houses may be in for a rude awakening when you get to know your pledges.

I'm a sophomore who did rush this year and I know DZ wasn't always considered a "top house" but they got some of the best girls. I loved that house. Tiers aren't everything! I'm in a "bottom" tier house and I feel it's perfect for me!

anyone involved in utk greeklife knows that DZ was a bottom middle chapter but they have gotten better, I wouldnt call them a "top" chapter but they arent as bad as they used to be. They put on a good rush but like the commenters before me have said, you have to be on the other side to know who got the best girls. The girls of these sororities have been working for weeks before recruitment picking the girls they wanted, and yes every top chapter does this. Being in a "top" chapter and having friends in a "top" chapter we were all after the same girls, and the girls seemed to all go either Phi Mu, KD, ADPi, Tri Delt, AOPi, and some Chi O. We didnt loose any of the girls we wanted to DZ. Just because they put on a good rush, doesnt mean they got the most sought after girls by the top chapters. And really, it doesnt matter because there are different chapters for a reason. and its to find where you fit in. Phi Mu and KD may have been really sought after during rush but AOPi and Tri Delt are still top tier like them which none of that matters anyway, but it must to the person who started this since they are asking who the best pc is.
