Coming from someone who is not in greek life (and never tried to be) i’ve never come across a rude or hateful AOII. I have friends in most of the sororities but most of my girl friends are in AOII, and that’s for a reason. The girls in AOII have never been anything other than respectful. They got lots and lots of backlash for the incident in 2019 but it never slowed them down, they adjusted and evolved.

Sigma Alpha is the place to be if you’re an ag major or even if you just grew up around ag. I’m in a different sorority but I admire them and wish I would’ve known about them before formal recruitment. They have a sisterhood that’s very close knit. All of them are super sweet and you don’t hear many bad things about the sisters. They don’t get to do everything that we do, but they are really good at ropepull and linedance. They help out lots of places. Definitely consider them!

i know a lot of girls in this, and i think it’s half and half…or they’re just fake. some seem super sweet but then some can be backstabbers…or both. they get a bad rep from AOII, which i don’t think is fair because AOII isn’t the greatest either. these two just fight over who is “best”.

if you don’t get in the OG “clique” within this sorority, you’ll be an outcast the entire time. i’ve been out with girls in this sorority and have seen their own “sisters” ignore each other and act like they don’t know who you are, but go kiss up to someone they think is better. it’s embarrassing. not a good look!

Since pike will be able to have parties this year (hopefully) I want any girls that have heard any rumors about it not being safe to know that those rumors are old. They were told when my dad was at utm, my sister, and now I’m here I hear them. Pike is as safe as any other frat house here that hosts parties. I have never felt unsafe there or at any of the frat houses. The guys just want people to come have fun so if you want to party at pike don’t let some old rumor with no validity stop you. I will say one thing though — they never have toilet paper in the girls bathroom so be mindful of that lol.

These girls spent the entirety of recruitment last fall dirty rushing. I had so many freshman tell me about how they tried to get them to come to parties before rush and tried to be bffs with them. I had one pnm tell me they felt pressured to go AOPi because they wouldnt leave her alone. Do with that info what you will but i personally lost a lot of respect for that sorority.

One of buddies invited me to their house to watch a football game. Needless to say I felt a little intimidated first going in because I knew they were one of the best frats at Martin. Once a few of them talked to me I almost felt like we all had been friends for years. A great group of guys. Would recommend making friends with those guys. Wish I could rush here but I’m at UTK.
