advice for pnms!

by: helper

1) it is OKAY to talk about the b’s as long as the conversation is tastefully done!

2) it is OKAY to ask a top 3 about dirty rush and how realistic pc space is

3) it is OKAY to stonewall houses you don’t want!

4) it is OKAY to drop if you aren’t happy with the outcome!!

if someone says no to any of these, they are trying to control you or keep you down. remember.

1) If you use your time at a sorority asking about the 3 b's, instead of selling yourself and what you have to offer a sorority, you will fall through the cracks to pnm oblivion. You have limited time to talk to actives, don't waste your time on immaterial conversation topics.

2) If you have been dirty rushed you already know it, if you haven't then asking about it does not do a thing to get you get asked back. If they don't have room for you they will drop you, that's how you know. Again, don't waste your time.

3) Stonewalling or otherwise trying to get yourself dropped from a chapter does NOTHING to get you ranked high enough by other chapters to get invited back.

4) If you don't like one of your pref houses then SIP, but don't sign your card with any house that you are going to drop if you get their bid. If you don't like either of your pref houses then don't rank them or drop first. Otherwise you are taking a pref spot or a bid away from another girl who would have loved to have it.

Do you think you are just picking and choosing among sororities? No! The sororities have all the power and their rank of you is what determines if you get asked back or not. Your choices don't count in the least unless you would receive more invitations than the max for a round, in which case your bottom house or houses would drop off. There is nothing in your ranks of the chapters that give you any say so until pref. The sororities don't even see the pnm's ranks.
