how are first cuts determined ?

Grades, connections, and sometimes recs (if they don't know you and you are plain Jane, bye bye). All girls going through are middle class. Being from a rich suburb doesn't get you anything extra. What you need to realize is that a top girl from Topeka or Wichita always has more connections than Lake Forest
