So embarrassing
by: Bearcat gali’m in a lower tier sorority and it feels dumb to be bothered by this but i lowkey am… it drives me crazy to see certain people working hard to improve our reputation and the girls that are the reason we’re at the bottom don’t care and just make us look worse at events and on socials. it’s like half of us care and the other half are getting us dragged through the mud. recruitment was honestly such a bad time for me and i’m really wishing that i would’ve dropped instead of ending up in a bottom house where i feel judged and am embarrassed to tell people which sorority i’m in. it just sucks because i want the sorority experience so bad but my chapter has awful socials/frat relations and the sisterhood isn’t even close because so many people hang out in groups outside of greek life and i can’t even rush a different sorority because i’ve already been initiated.

Hey girl!! That really sucks that you feel that way and you’re valid for all your feelings. I think most of the stuff on here and about reputation in general is total smoke and mirrors and as long as there are people in your chapter who you are/want to be friends with and there are positions you would love to do, go for it confidently!!! Not every day is a walk in the park, but take your power back and be part of the half that really want to make a difference in your sorority. You can’t control their actions but you can control yours! Make it count! There’s amazing people in every chapter, don’t be embarrassed to tell people what chapter you are in!!!!!!!!!!
