affiliated vs. unaffiliated frats -big difference?

I'm interested in both an affiliated and unaffiliated fraternity. Can anyone tell me what the big differences are in terms of frat benefits, brotherhood, hazing or connections after college? Is it a big deal one way or another?

All top houses are unafillated, Zete, Fiji,SAE and DKE. They haze harder but they've always done so even way before they got kicked off (especially Zete and Fiji)
